Pros
- Its Thinner: The iPhone 5 is only 7.6mm (compared to the iPhone 4S, which is 9.3mm)
- Its Lighter: The iPhone 5 is only 112g (compared to the iPhone 4s, which is 140g)
- I Has A Bigger Screen:The iPhone 5 has a 4" Retina Display (compared to iPhone 4S, which has 3.5"), this means that you can fit a whole nother row of apps on the screen
- It Has 4G LTE: The iPhone 5 is the first iPhone to come with 4G LTE, but the second apple product to come with it ("The New iPad" also comes with 4G LTE)
- Better Front-Facing Camera: The iPhone 5 comes with a front-facing camera that can take pictures with a resolution of 1.2MP, and video with a resolution of 720p HD
- Better Back-Facing Camera: With the iPhone 5's new camera you can take pictures while recording video!
Cons
- Its Thinner: The iPhone is now even more snapable (I don't think thats a word, but o'well)
- Nano-SIM: The iPhone 5 uses a new nano-sim, which means that you'll have to get a newer, smaller SIM card if you get one
- Lighting: This is one of the worst things that they could have put in the iPhone 5. Although I like how you can put it in either way (this is great for if you need to do it in the dark, I've done this a few times). It should NOT be called lighting because its a USB 2.0 only device (so it doesn't support for USB 3.0). And because its not backward compatible all your old docks, chargers, and so on won't work :( This will create a ton of landfill, Thanks a lot Apple.
Well that kind of sums up the iPhone 5, now for iOS 6...
Pros
- I looks Great: In iOS 6 they have changed little bits and pieces, which I think makes it looks nicer
- Alarms: You can now use your own songs (from your music collection) for alarms
- Maps: This new app looks great and it flows smoothly
- Do Not Disturb: This is one of my favorite features in iOS 6, when you switch it on it silences all incoming calls, texts, iMessages, and notifications. However you can set it so that it allows calls from your "favorites" or any other group you've made. And if you switch on "Repeated Calls" if someone rings twice in 3mins it won't silence the second call.
Cons
So far I haven't had any problems :)
- However I have heard that the Maps app seems to have places that are Missing / Named Wrong
